Browse Palmdale People Directories

Names in Palmdale appear in several kinds of directories, each built for a different task. Browse Palmdale directories for a city office contact, a school employee, a licensed professional, a parcel owner, or someone who lived at an old address. Current government and education lists tend to show work contact details. County indexes connect names with deeds, parcels, or business filings, while library collections preserve earlier residents and street listings. The most useful people directories serving Palmdale therefore span city, county, regional, and California sources rather than one all-purpose list.

Palmdale People Directory Landscape

Palmdale people directories range from current staff lists to name indexes created from official filings. Their entries answer narrow questions well. A city directory routes a caller to a department. A college list can identify a faculty member and office. Parcel and deed indexes connect a name or address to land records, while old street directories recover former occupants. The keeper and access method matter because no single directory spans every period or type of person.

Start with the list built for the person’s role. Government and campus directories are best for current public contacts. The county assessor and recorder are stronger for names linked to property. Business and professional lists establish a public role or filing. For a former resident, family member, or old neighbor, library directories and census material reach farther back than today’s web lists.

Search Palmdale Civic Directories

The Palmdale Staff Directory is the city’s main contact directory. It can be browsed by category or searched with a first or last name. Its category tree includes the City Clerk, Planning, Public Works, Building & Safety, Code Enforcement, the library, and the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station. JavaScript is needed for all entry listings, so a browser with scripts blocked may show office rows but not every detail.

A sample entry can show the category or office, telephone number, street location, and public hours. The City Clerk detail, for example, gives the office at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite C, its 661-267-5151 phone, and Monday through Thursday hours. If no individual result appears, use the department number shown in the directory. The City Clerk can also route questions about municipal records and Form 700 filings. Detailed access rules belong with Palmdale public records access, not the staff list.

Palmdale School Directory Entries

The Palmdale School District staff directory has a page-level people search. Its result cards may show a name, profile image or placeholder, classification, email link, and phone number. District Contacts adds superintendent and division leadership numbers. Antelope Valley Union High School District publishes department and leadership contacts on its own pages, providing another route when a name is absent from a broad list.

The official Palmdale School District directory screen shows how staff cards are filtered.

The capture confirms that the district directory is meant for present institutional contacts, not a historical roster. Search a full name first, then try a surname alone or use the district’s division contacts if a card omits a phone number.

These education lists are especially useful because Palmdale’s municipal boundary and school-service areas do not always match. A postal Palmdale address may sit in a different district context. Confirm the school or district before treating a matching staff card as the right person.

AVC People Directory Details

Antelope Valley College’s directory is the fullest nearby education directory. The college also operates the AVC Palmdale Center at 2301 East Palmdale Boulevard. Entries are arranged alphabetically and can identify a faculty or staff member through several fields rather than name alone.

  • Name: last name and first name.
  • Role: faculty type, title, or administrative role.
  • Unit: division or department.
  • Contact: institutional email and phone extension where listed.
  • Place: office, building, or room where provided.

The AVC directory source shows the live layout and entry detail.

Matching the division, extension, and office helps separate people with similar names. If the page offers no visible search box, browse its alphabetical list or use the browser’s find command.

California Contacts Beyond Palmdale

The California Personnel Office Directory extends a Palmdale directory search to state departments and campuses. It is not a general statewide staff phone book. Its purpose is narrower: personnel and payroll office contacts. Entries can include contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, physical and mailing addresses, and agency codes.

The State Controller’s directory page shows the scope of that agency-based list.

Use an agency or campus first, then confirm the contact’s unit and code. For an elected official or a Palmdale city department, the relevant government roster or city directory is a better starting point.

Palmdale Property Name Directories

Official property systems work like specialized people directories. The Los Angeles County Assessor Portal searches a parcel by Assessor’s Identification Number, called an AIN, or by street address. A parcel card can show the site address, map location, values, district geography, and owner or mailing clues when the public display includes them. The mailing address may differ from the property site and can point to an out-of-area owner, trust, or estate contact.

The recorder’s grantor and grantee index reverses the approach. A grantor transfers an interest; a grantee receives one. Los Angeles County keeps recorded real-estate material from 1851 onward, with records from 1851 through 1957 reviewed in a separate lower-level area at the Norwalk office and later records on the second floor. Name indexes can be reviewed in person. Depending on the record, copies may also be requested online, in person, by fax, or by mail. Telephone index searches are not accepted.

Address trail: street address → Assessor parcel and AIN → owner or mailing name → recorder index → earlier grantors and grantees.

Palmdale’s GIS hub and the county map search add parcel, city, community, ZIP, and school-district layers. Those maps help test whether a postal Palmdale address is inside the city or in another Antelope Valley jurisdiction.

Palmdale Business License Directories

Business names lead to several official directories. Palmdale’s HdL channel offers a licensed-business search, but its interface blocked automated inspection, so exact result fields were not confirmed. The fallback is the city Business License unit at 661-247-8384 or Palmdale@HdLgov.com. The unit’s published hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The LA County Fictitious Business Name directory searches current statements by business name, city, ZIP code, and other controls. Its new portal covers filings from February 2024 forward. California’s bizfile search adds entity status, agents, addresses, and public filing PDFs for corporations, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships.

Professional directories answer a different question. The Department of Consumer Affairs advanced search accepts a first name, last name, license number, business name, registry number, board, and license type or status filters. The State Bar search accepts an attorney name or bar number. Try surnames without accent marks if extended characters fail, and test both individual and business names when the first query misses.

Palmdale Voter Directory Boundaries

California’s voter roll is not an open people directory. The LA County registration checker asks a voter for a last name, birthdate, house number, and ZIP code. It verifies the voter’s own status rather than allowing broad name browsing. State and county voter data may be released only for authorized election, scholarly, journalistic, political, or governmental purposes under Elections Code sections 2188 and 2194.

LA County offers a $5-per-name voter registration file search through its Election Information Section. A person may submit the request at the Norwalk office. A mail request must include the requester’s name, address, birth date, signature, phone number, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Protected registrations and fields such as signatures, Social Security numbers, driver’s-license or state-ID numbers, and full birth dates remain confidential. Use the voter source only within its stated purpose and security terms.

Palmdale Library Directory Holdings

Palmdale City Library resources provide local, in-library access to Ancestry Library Edition. Its searchable material spans census, vital, military, court, land, probate, church, and passenger records. The library is at 700 East Palmdale Boulevard and can be reached at 661-267-5600. Official library pages did not publish exact Palmdale city-directory years, so regional collections fill that gap.

The Palmdale library source identifies the on-site genealogy access available in the city.

That access is most useful when a researcher arrives with a surname, date range, former address, or county record reference rather than only a common name.

Trace Palmdale’s Earlier Directories

LAPL’s digitized city and street directories are the strongest reverse-address source for an old Palmdale connection. A reverse directory begins with a street address and identifies an occupant or business for that publication year. This is a practical human-use tool when a current parcel owner is not the former resident, when relatives remember only a house, or when a past business occupied the site.

The LAPL collection page confirms that names and addresses can be searched across its digitized run.

Pair a directory result with the assessor and deed chain, then use census, probate, obituary, cemetery, or newspaper sources to test whether the occupant and owner were the same person.

1886
Palmenthal was established by settlers in the Antelope Valley.
1888
A post office arrived; later movement toward the railroad helped shape Palmdale.
1962
Palmdale incorporated, so earlier records may use county precincts or community names.
1965
Annexation had added 20 square miles, changing how old and current boundaries compare.
1987
LAPL’s digitized Los Angeles-area city and street directory span reaches its endpoint.

Search old entries under Palmenthal, Harold, Antelope Valley, railroad-era place names, county precincts, school districts, ranches, or subdivisions as well as Palmdale. Pre-incorporation residents may also be indexed by enumeration district or post-office geography. For items not online, continue through LAPL’s Central Library, the California State Library directory finder, California State Archives, FamilySearch finding aids, or Palmdale City Library. These channels preserve the place-name shifts that modern people directories cannot show.

Note: A postal Palmdale name does not prove that an address fell within the city boundary in the year being researched.
